Pokémon Pokopia v1.0.3: errors fixed and a guide to update

Pokémon Pokopia v1.0.3 fixes bugs in the Pokédex, travel between islands, a black screen, construction issues, and progress. Learn how to update and what to test.

Quick summary

Pokémon Pokopia has received version 1.0.3 to fix several issues detected after its release. Here are the confirmed changes and what to check if you were still running into problems.

The main points

Pokémon Pokopia has just updated to version 1.0.3. The goal is to fix various errors that affected the gameplay experience since launch, including problems when changing location, advancing quests, and interacting with certain constructions.

The download is already available. If your game didn’t update automatically, you can apply the change from the options menu on the Nintendo Switch 2 console.

What the Pokémon Pokopia 1.0.3 update fixes

These are the problems that have been indicated as fixed with v1.0.3 (the effects will apply after updating if they had already happened to you)

These are the problems that have been indicated as fixed with v1.0.3 (the effects will apply after updating if they had already happened to you):

  • Pokédex: in some cases, it wasn’t possible to find Pokémon whose habitats had disappeared, even using search.
  • Everdream Island (Isla Ensueño): traveling under certain circumstances would end up in Palette Field (Pradera Paleta) and it wasn’t possible to return to the original city.
  • City change and date change: the screen would stay black, making the experience harder.
  • Moving Pokémon habitats: when executing certain actions, it wasn’t possible to move habitats.
  • Constructions: depending on how the build was started, the projects wouldn’t be completed until the game date was changed.
  • Stormy Bay (Bahía Borrasca) / request: when performing specific actions, it wasn’t possible to advance the request “Turn on the loading terminal”.
  • Isolated Islands (Islas Aisladas): when executing certain actions, the Pokémon that had been asked for help with the construction would be removed, making it harder to rebuild the building.
  • Cloud Island (season): when executing specific actions, the seasonal Pokémon could disappear from the city and the island.
  • Creating Cloud Island (Creación de Isla Nube): when creating a new Cloud Island, an error would appear and the creation wouldn’t be completed.

Errors fixed only partially

In addition to the bugs that were fixed, it was reported that some issues are handled partially, so the chance of encountering them may be reduced:

  • Continuous controller vibration when executing certain actions.

Where to apply the update if it didn’t download on its own

If you don’t see the update automatically, go to the options menu from the main screen of Nintendo Switch 2 and review the alternatives to download/install version 1.0.3.

After updating, go back to test the areas where you noticed the issues—for example, searches in the Pokédex, travel from Everdream Island (Isla Ensueño), or actions linked to Stormy Bay (Bahía Borrasca) and constructions. This will let you confirm that the fix applies to your save.

Quick checklist: what to test after updating

With v1.0.3, the update focuses on fixing specific bottlenecks that could block progress or cause unexpected behavior in maps and constructions. Update and test right in the sections where the error previously repeated to confirm the results for your case.

  • Search in the Pokédex using the search function to check whether the missing habitats no longer prevent Pokémon from being located.
  • Repeat the travel flow from Everdream Island (Isla Ensueño) to confirm it doesn’t reroute you to Palette Field (Pradera Paleta).
  • Perform a city change action and see whether the black screen appears again.
  • If you were doing a construction, check whether the projects complete without needing date adjustments.
