Pokémon Pokopia 2.0.0 is out now: Dive and Bubbly Basin

Pokémon Pokopia version 2.0.0 is now available to download on Nintendo Switch 2. Nintendo’s official support confirms that it became available on August 5, 2026, expanding the base game with Dive, underwater building and many usability improvements. At the same time, the first part of the Expansion Pass opens Bubbly Basin, a new neighbourhood beneath the sea.

How to unlock Dive and build underwater

Dive lets Ditto move freely underwater. To learn it, complete the important request “Raise the Environment Level Further” in Peak Point, learn how to jump and know Surf. The building specialty also works underwater, so you can build houses and decorate submerged spaces.

The free update is available to every Pokémon Pokopia player, while Bubbly Basin is part of the paid Expansion Pass. This underwater neighbourhood adds new Pokémon, furniture and an extra outfit for Ditto.

New items, reactions and customisation

Version 2.0.0 adds the storage terminal and safe. Their recipes can be bought after raising the environment level in Rustling Acres. You can also move several items at once between the chest and bag and remove items placed inside other objects, such as the waste bin.

Customisation additions include five hair colours—orange, light pink, yellow-green, blue-green and brown—the “Ditto faces block” pattern, and the Lie-down Ditto and Ready, go! reactions. The pattern is obtained by speaking to Master Smeargle after earning the diploma; the reactions are found in Peak Point and the Dream Islands.

Other important version 2.0.0 improvements

Alongside Dive and underwater building, the update makes practical changes to exploration, building and everyday management:

• The Pokédex can use “Take Me Home” to travel to the neighbourhood where the Pokémon you are looking for lives.
• Relics can be appraised in groups of up to 10.
• When crafting, materials in the chest beside the workbench are used before those in the bag.
• The limit for placed generators rises from 64 to 128, except thermal generators.
• The number of different photos displayed in one neighbourhood rises from 10 to 40.
• Partner Pokémon can follow Ditto while using Surf, Glide, Rollout or Levitate.
• Rollout can vacuum up items, open the bag and destroy certain natural objects such as large rocks.
• The Pokédex and Habitatdex gain an “All” tab, and the camera adds settings to reduce motion sickness.
• You can fine-tune the depth of windows and doors, paint more objects and teach patterns to Master Smeargle using reference photos.
• Strength works underwater, while activating Surf and Waterfall is smoother.
