Pokémon game sales through June 2026: updated ranking
Nintendo updates worldwide Pokémon sales: Scarlet and Violet reach 28.46 million, while Pokopia passes five million.
Nintendo has updated cumulative worldwide sales for several Pokémon games with data through June 30, 2026. The latest figures keep Pokémon Red, Green and Blue at the top of the main series, confirm Scarlet and Violet's lead over Sword and Shield, and put Pokémon Pokopia above five million.
These are cumulative global totals, not sales for the quarter alone. The historical total for each game must therefore be distinguished from the increase reported since the previous update.
Updated all-time ranking
| Rank | Games | Worldwide sales |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Pokémon Red, Green and Blue | 31.38 million |
| 2 | Pokémon Scarlet and Violet | 28.46 million |
| 3 | Pokémon Sword and Shield | 27.26 million |
| 4 | Pokémon Gold and Silver | 23.70 million |
| 5 | Pokémon Diamond and Pearl | 17.67 million |

Scarlet and Violet added 180,000 units since the previous report and remain second. Their lead over Sword and Shield, which added 100,000 units, now stands at 1.2 million.
Pokémon Pokopia passes five million
Pokémon Pokopia has sold more than five million copies worldwide. It added 1.27 million during the period covered by the source, although that increase excludes Japanese sales handled by The Pokémon Company.

That caveat prevents a mechanical comparison between Pokopia's quarterly increase and games counted differently. The firm ranking fact is that its worldwide total has passed five million.
Games without a new figure
Nintendo did not provide an updated total in this release for the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 editions of Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen. The previous reference placed them above four million combined, but that should not be presented as a final June figure.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A was not updated either. Its latest available total was 12.79 million since launch. Keeping those references separate avoids implying Nintendo confirmed them in the same update.
How to read the series' growth
The figures show two movements: Scarlet and Violet continue to approach the first generation while extending their lead over Sword and Shield, and Pokopia reaches a new milestone only months after launching on Nintendo Switch 2.
Not every game appears in every report, and a missing figure does not mean sales have stopped. It only means Nintendo did not publish a new total in this period. The next update will show whether Scarlet and Violet maintain their pace and how much Pokopia adds after crossing five million.
