Pikachu ex Day & Night: new Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration cards
The Pokémon Company reveals regular Day & Night Pikachu ex cards for Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration, due September 16, 2026.
The Pokémon Company International has officially revealed two regular versions of Pikachu ex, one themed around day and the other around night, for Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration. Both cards belong to the expansion scheduled for worldwide release on September 16, 2026.
Pikachu ex Day puts Basic Pokémon into play from the deck

The daytime card is a Basic Lightning-type Pokémon with 190 HP. Its first attack lets the player search their deck for any number of Basic Pokémon, put them onto the Bench, and then shuffle. The second deals 200 damage, but requires discarding all Energy attached to Pikachu ex.
Pikachu ex Night accelerates Energy from the hand

The nighttime version also has 190 HP and is a Basic Lightning-type Pokémon. Its first attack lets the player attach any number of Basic Energy cards from their hand to their Pokémon in any way they like. Its second attack deals 200 damage, and Pikachu ex also does 30 damage to itself.
Both cards have ×2 Weakness to Fighting, a Retreat Cost of one Colorless Energy, and the usual Pokémon ex rule: when one is Knocked Out, the opponent takes two Prize cards.
How they differ from the Day & Night promos
These cards are the regular versions of two promotional Pikachu ex cards already associated with the Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration Ultra-Premium Collections—Day & Night. The Day collection pairs Pikachu ex with Espeon ex, while the Night collection features it with Umbreon ex.
The official product showcase dates both collections for November 6, 2026. Each will include 29 Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration booster packs, one three-card Classic Collection booster pack, and themed accessories including a playmat, card sleeves, and a deck box. Because this is a future release, it should not yet be presented as available.
Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration adds more revealed cards
The commemorative expansion will bring these two Pikachu ex versions together with other already revealed cards. They include the connected Meowth and Alolan Meowth Illustration Rares, which show how the set is taking shape before release.
The reveal confirms the text and appearance of both Pikachu ex cards, but does not change the official dates: the expansion’s first products are planned for September and the Day & Night collections for November.
