Meowth and Alolan Meowth reveal their 30th Celebration Illustration Rares

The Pokémon Company marked International Cat Day by revealing four cards from 30th Celebration: regular Meowth and Alolan Meowth, plus an Illustration Rare for each. The set begins its worldwide product rollout on September 16, 2026.

These are four separate cards: Meowth 113, Meowth 144, Alolan Meowth 089 and Alolan Meowth 139.

The four revealed Meowth cards

Regular Meowth uses a traditional Colorless-type layout, while number 144 expands its everyday scene across the full card.

Alolan Meowth follows the same structure. The two special illustrations connect: Alolan Meowth rests above Meowth's scene, Meowth runs through Alolan Meowth's scene, and Galarian Meowth appears in both.

What the reveal adds to 30th Celebration

Bringing together the Kanto, Alola and Galar forms turns the Illustration Rares into a small visual story. This matches the set's theme of everyday Pokémon moments. The Japanese site also presents six-card holographic packs, Futuristic Rare cards and a project featuring 30 Pikachu by 30 artists; none of that confirms pull rates or a product that guarantees these cards.

Release date and confirmed limits

The range starts rolling out across markets on September 16. Regional availability may vary. The reveal confirms regular and Illustration Rare versions of Meowth and Alolan Meowth, but not pull rates, individual prices or automatic numbering equivalence across localized sets.
