Mewtwo is coming to Pokémon Sleep with Berry Zone

Mewtwo stars in a September Pokémon Sleep event with Psystrike (Berry Zone), Mew support and a bonus for Mago Berries.

Mewtwo will headline a new Pokémon Sleep event in September 2026. Research takes place on Greengrass Isle and Greengrass Isle (Expert), recommends Psychic-type helpers and gives Mew a special role before Mewtwo arrives. Exact start and end dates have not yet been announced.

Event areas

Only Greengrass Isle and Greengrass Isle (Expert) are confirmed. Psychic-type teams match the central mechanic because Mewtwo boosts Mago Berries. Changing research area during the event removes the Berry Zone, making the initial choice important.

Psystrike (Berry Zone)

Mewtwo's Main Skill is Psystrike (Berry Zone). It increases Snorlax's Strength and creates a Berry Zone that raises Energy from Mago Berries. The zone lasts for the week unless the player changes area, and every new activation strengthens it. Full values, activation rates and mission details remain unannounced.

A prior chance to befriend Mew

A separate opportunity will let players befriend Mew before Mewtwo arrives.

Mew before the Mewtwo event in Pokémon Sleep

Mew is Psychic-type, has multiple specialties, can learn or change skills through Mew's Eureka Seeds and counts as a Special Pokémon.

Special Pokémon team limit

Mewtwo is also a Special Pokémon. Teams can normally include only one, except for the stated Latios and Latias pairing. Mew and Mewtwo therefore cannot automatically be assumed to share a team.

Still to be confirmed

September is the announced window, but exact dates, missions, rewards, incense and friendship conditions are missing. Players can prepare Psychic helpers and check access to the Expert area, but the event remains upcoming until the app confirms it has begun.
